Geissler's Supermarket

To much self check out!!! It's one thing when you have a few items. Atleast include bags if I'm being forced to work as a cashier. There's a reason why big box stores put a limit on self checkout because it is not efficient when you have huge orders. And the one register you keep open doesn't have a convayor I feel bad for the employees that have to shuffle a whole cart load of items over the counter. I'd rethink this whole self checkout. If I'm spending $300-500 every 2 weeks I'd atleast want to have a person checking me out. I'm sure others would agree. Technology isn't always the answer!

Always very clean and organized. They have a fair variety for a small grocery store. Meat and veggies are always fresh. The hot bar food is really good. They have fresh lobster tank. If an item you'd like is not being carried, you can request (just like many stores), but they are really great about stocking it very fast. Staff is super helpful. We've been at various times and is very rarely busy and when it is they make sure to have available registers and staff to help with the self-check out area (which was a new addition in the past year) It would be great to see a bit more variety in their international foods (especially Caribbean/Latinx & Asian food options). I've been putting together a list of items for them to explore if they could carry them, as it would be helpful to not to have to go to 2-3 different stores to get them for our family.

I like this fairly quiet and clean location. And I like smaller grocery shopping experiences. *Inside The Filley Pond Plaza *Located next door to: -Uncork 2 Unwind -Family Dollar -Bloomfield (Berkshire) Bike Shop *Directly across the street from Midas **Updated as of 07/20/2023: I noticed reviewers commenting that the store has high prices, and they are right. But there are also some gems that they sell at unbelievably lower prices than their competitors, which is a huge plus for me, as I get "overall" savings. And the fact that, despite the higher pricings; shoppers continue to spend their hard-earned money here, which points to the shoppers' appreciation for Geisslers' higher quality of foodstuffs.
